Black Mirror is a British science fiction television anthology series created by Charlie Brooker and centred around dark and satirical themes that examine modern society, particularly with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technologies. Episodes are standalone works, usually set in an alternative present or the near future. The show was first broadcast on the British Channel 4, in 2011. In September 2015, Netflix commissioned a third season of 12 episodes. The commissioned episodes were later divided into two seasons of six episodes; the third season was released on Netflix worldwide on 21 October 2016.

WIKIPEDIA

This is one of my favorite shows right now, I just watched and I love it, I’m obsessed about it, I just wanna watch again and again. The concept is fascinating, there is nothing like it, the themes in each episode are awesome and so well built. Even some episodes that I wasn’t crazy about at first, at some point they turn out into something unbelievable, and they all have amazing ends, so far there hasn’t been an episode that I did not like. And there are some amazing acting going on, some known actors, but mostly unknown actors, but really good.

It’s really easy to watch, and with few episodes by season, some people like that, but it’s so good that I want more and more.

You should watch it, it’s amazing.

TIME’s new cover: Game of Thrones

The new cover of the TIME Magazine decided to cover the cast of the popular show Game of Thrones, and it looks really awesome! I’m really excited about the new season, I was disappointed with the last two seasons, so I’m expecting a spectacular end.

This cover is everything! The concept is so cool, really different from the context of the characters on the show, it’s kind of Alice in Wonderland theme, but it’s really cool.

HEISENBERG SONG

I’m starting to watch Breaking Bad, I know, better late then never, and I’m lovin it. It’s a really good show, and this song was hilarious!

THE WORST LOOKS [XXII Gala dos Globos de Ouro]

Now the post about of the worst looks, for me, of the XXII Gala dos Globos de Ouro, the portuguese Golden Globes.

lili caneças

Lili Caneças wearing something so ugly that I can’t even describe it, there is nothing good about it, but she never had a good sense of style.

Fábia Rebordão

Fábia Rebordão looks like a strange statue, I don’t like the color, I don’t like the dress and that thing in her head it’s so weird and ugly.

Darko — Fato de Luís Carvalho e sapatos de Eureka Shoes

Darko wearing Luís Carvalho and Eureka Shoes, I can’t really see the shoes so I can’t really say if they are ugly or not, I usually love Eureka Shoes but under that look I don’t now what is hiding. It reminds me of those advertisements for feminine hygiene products in which menstruation was represented by a woman all dressed in red, but in this case it’s a man wearing the ugliest look ever.

sofia cerveira

Sofia Cerveira wearing the ugliest coat / robe ever made, everything about that look is wrong and should never been weared or seen by anyone.

joana solnado

Joana Solnado, WTF is this??? It’s so damn ugly, nothing about it is good, it should be burned. She was stoned, that’s the only way that I can accept that she weared that.

THE BEST LOOKS [XXII Gala dos Globos de Ouro]

This Sunday, besides the 2017 Billboards [I will talk about that in another post], were the XXII Gala dos Globos de Ouro, the portuguese Golden Globes. I don’t really care about the show, it’s kind of… bad, the only thing that makes it worth it for me were the presenter João Manzarra and the comedian Luís Franco-Bastos that were hilarious.

Well, let’s talk about the outfits of the night, these were my favourites:

Luciana Abreu — Vestido de Lethicia Bronstein

Luciana Abreu wearing Lethicia Bronstein, I usually don’t really like her style but I have to say that I love this look. It’s kind of Jennifer Lopez, but really suits her and is a gorgeous dress.

Sara Matos em Elie Saab

Sara Matos wearing Elie Saab, this is a good example of a stunning dress worn wrong. First I don’t think that she really can pull it off, second how do you put such ugly shoes and handbag in such a beautiful dress, it could be stunning and she ruined it.

Cláudia Vieira em Stella McCartney

Cláudia Vieira wearing Stella McCartney, this woman is so gorgeous. She always looks stunning, I mean with that body everything suits her well, but she has a really good taste for fashion. The dress is not the most daring thing, but is beautiful and the makeup, accessories, hair, it’s all a perfect combination, my favourite look of the night.

Liliana Santos — Vestido de Carlos Gil e jóias Bvlgari ddd

Liliana Santos wearing Carlos Gil, Bvlgari jewels. I love this dress, I think it’s my favourite of the night, it’s diferent and gorgeous, black it’s always a good choice. I just don’t like the makeup and the hair, it’s so boring, I think that that dress deserved something better.

Here are some other looks that I liked it:

2 Broke Girls CANCELED

600x600bb-85

I’m so SAD!!! I love this show, I can’t believe they canceled it, actually I can, because the last two seasons were kind of stupid and not quite as fun as it used to be. Anyway I still love it, and the story wasn’t quite finished so I’m really upset.

Sense8

I just finished the second season and I have to say I’m blown away, I loved the show since the first season, but in this season they went to another level.

Sense8 [a play on the word sensate] is an American science fiction drama web television series created by Lana and Lilly Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski for Netflix. The show introduced a multinational ensemble cast, portraying eight strangers from different parts of the world who suddenly become “sensates”; human beings who are mentally and emotionally linked. The show aims to explore subjects that its creators feel have not been emphasized in many science fiction shows to date, such as politics, identity, sexuality, gender and religion.

Wikipedia

The premise of the show is absolutely incredible, I love the interaction of the the different characters, from different parts of the world, different culture and background, and how they complement and help each other. The filming for Sense8 takes place almost entirely on location around the globe such as Germany, Mexico, India, Kenya, Iceland, South Korea, Netherlands, Scotland, United Kingdom, Malta, Italy, United States, Brazil.

I think they really explain the trama in the second season, in the first season you can’t really understand some things that are going on but in the second season a lot of questions are answered, and the direction that the show is taking is really cool.

I think is an incredible show and not only the history is really cool, the different subjects they explore are really important and interesting. If you like science fiction and drama you should watch it, the chemistry between the actors is incredible, they all are really good, you can really feel their culture and how they love each other.

This Is Us

This Is Us is an American television drama series created by Dan Fogelman that premiered on NBC on 2016. The cast stars Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, and Ron Cephas Jones.

I just finished seeing the first season and I loved it, is a pretty emotional show, that deals with real issues that some families suffer from. I have to admit that I get quite emotional when I watch it, in almost every episode I feel like crying.

I think the show is very well done, the plot and the production, the swing through the stories of the past and present of the character are very weel done, and really gives you what you need to understand the story and what the characters are feeling. The cast is all really amazing.
I really enjoyed the end of the season, although the problems weren’t solved, they left me wanting to see whats next, that is the purpose.

I just hope that now that they are successful they will continue to make a good show, as it has been so far, because some series when get popular they start to make more seasons just to make money and they screw up the story.

Anyway, if you haven’t seen the show yet you should.

When We Rise

1000x563-Q90_18fa892a26b5e98feafac80fdf417dfe

When We Rise was written and created by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black. This ABC‘S mini-series event chronicles the real-life personal and political struggles, set-backs and triumphs of a diverse family of LGBT men and women who helped pioneer one of the last legs of the U.S. Civil Rights movement, from it’s turbulent infancy in the 20th century to the once unfathomable successes of today.

Is a very powerful, heartbreaking story that everyone should see. The series was filmed before Trump, so the series ends in a certain tone of hope that all things seems possible, which at this moment doesn’t seem so true and show us that all the battles that we can see portrayed in the series are not over yet. As it is mentioned in the series we must continue to fight, to continue to progress, but at this moment it seems that we are regressing and not progressing.

Starring in the mini-series are Guy Pearce as LGBT activist Cleve Jones, Mary-Louise Parker as women’s rights leader Roma Guy, Rachel Griffiths as her wife, social justice activist Diane, Michael K. Williams as African-American community organizer Ken Jones and Ivory Aquino as transgender-activist Cecilia Chung.

For me, the most frustrating thing is that, nowadays, after all the struggles and progress that have already been made, there are still people with such a retrograde mind. I can not understand the discrimination that still exists, not only in the LGBT community, but in everything that is different and makes people uncomfortable.

People should be more concerned about their own lives and let others be happy.
