Katy Perry Witness Photoshoot

I’m not a Katy Perry fan, and I really don’t like her new era, I’m not going to be a hater and talk bad about her or her new persona, so I’m just gonna say: practice what you preach. But I have to say that I kind of like her new song with Nicki Minaj Swish Swish, it sounds like a song from 10 years ago [I don’t mean it like a bad things], it’s funny and catchy.

But the reason that I’m doing this post is those really cool photos that she had post on her Instagram. I really like it, I love the colors, the makeup, the weirdness, that eye is so creepy but is really cool. In the middle of all that senseless music / politics / contradictory behavior, I think this is pretty cool. Check it out:

Sade: Smooth Operator

My music for the day, I woke up singing this song, it’s been a while since I have listen to it. A true beautiful classic, a gorgeous voice!

Enjoy!

Harry Styles: Kiwi

This is one of the song of Harry‘s new album, I’m not a fan but I have to say that I really like this song. It’s old school Rock’n Roll, really makes me move, fans are question if Harry is a father because of the lyrics, I think that is just a funny song, but it is a good marketing move, making people talk about whether Harry is a father or not, people become curious and listen to the music.

Salvador Sobral: Amar Pelos Dois [EUROVISION 2017]

I usually don’t watch the Eurovision Song Contest, to be honest I haven’t listen any more songs, but I have to talk about this song. I think this song is absolutely beautiful, the lyrics are pure poetry and the melody is stunning, I’m really happy that this song is representing Portugal.

The song Amar Pelos Dois is interpreted by Salvador Sobral and composed by his sister, Luísa SobralWhile performing, on May 9 in Kiev, Salvador was the only performer who didn’t sing in English, he also didn’t sing on the main stage but rather on a secondary stage, surrounded by the public. Since 2010, Portugal didn’t reach the Eurovision final.

If you haven’t listen yet you should:

Good luck for tomorrow, I hope that they have a good score, because they deserve.

Selena Gomez covers “Only You”

The 24-year-old singer covered the Yazoo‘s 1982 hit “Only You” for the official soundtrack to her new show 13 Reasons Why. This contribution to the soundtrack is a heavy, smoky ballad that, in my opinion, was able to transform an old hit song into a current song, not always this kind of covers of old songs do justice to the original, but in this case I think the result is pretty good.

Originally, the song was written by musician Vince Clarke, he wrote it while with Depeche Mode, but recorded it in 1982 after forming the duo Yazoo with Alison Moyet.

13 Reasons Why is an American Netflix series based on the 2007 novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher and adapted by Brian Yorkey for Netflix. Selena Gomez is an executive producer on the series. I haven’t watched yet, but it’s on my list, the story seems to be quite interesting, covering important issues, I’m quite curious to watch it.
